ALM Forum attendees gather at OSLC Integration Happy Hour, kicking off three days of OSLC Connect. Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) develops standards that make it easy and practical for software lifecycle tools to share data with one another.
OASIS announces Board election schedule
This year, six seats on the Board of Directors and two seats on the Technical Advisory Board are open for election. All OASIS members are eligible to serve on either Board and to nominate candidates. Nominations will be accepted from 22 April to 22 May. Members are encouraged to submit questions for Board candidates on issues regarding the management and direction of the Consortium; questions must be received by 15 May.
OData TC publishes Committee Specification
The OData Extension for Data Aggregation 4.0 adds basic grouping functionality to the main OData Protocol, which was recently approved as an OASIS Standard. Based on REST, OData enables information to be accessed from a variety of sources. Congratulations to OData TC chairs, Ram Jeyaraman of Microsoft and Ralf Handl of SAG AP, and to all TC members for accomplishing this milestone.

Emergency Management TC publishes Committee Note
The Emergency Management Adoption TC has published "Example Practices: CAP Feeds," which provides example practices for distributing CAP alerts publicly over the Internet through web feeds. Congratulations to the TC chair, Rex Brooks of NCOIC, and to all TC members for accomplishing this milestone.

ebXML TCs propose submissions to ISO/IEC JTC 1
All members are invited to comment on the proposed submission to ISO Technical Committee 154 of four ebXML standards: RegRep 4.0; Messaging Services 3.0: Core Features; AS4 Profile of ebMS 3.0; and Business Process Specification Schema 2.0.4. The submissions update ISO's approval of prior versions of these standards as ISO 15000:2004, parts 1-4.The member public review ends 29 Apr.
Public Reviews begin for VIRTIO, TGF, CloudAuthZ
Virtual I/O Device (VIRTIO) 1.0 describes the "virtio" family of devices, which allows the guest to use standard drivers and discovery mechanisms. This specification will allow virtual environments and guests to have a straightforward, efficient, standard and extensible mechanism for virtual devices. This public review ends 14 Apr.
Transformational Government Framework (TGF) 2.0 is a practical "how to" standard for the design and implementation of an effective program of technology-enabled change at national, state or local government level. It describes a managed process of ICT-enabled change within the public sector and its relationships with the private and voluntary sectors. This public review ends 14 Apr.
Cloud Authorization Use Cases (CloudAuthZ) 1.0 develops enhanced models for managing authorizations and entitlements in SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS contexts and enables contextual attributes and contextual entitlements sets to be delivered to Policy Enforcement Points in real time. This public review ends 26 Apr.
Mikio Aoyama, Ph.D., of Nanzan University (above) has been elected chair of the OSLC PROMCODE TC.
Martin Paine of IBM has been elected chair of the OSLC Automation TC.
