Maybe the technical committee or one of its members would be able to present a paper or participate in some other way at the 9th European Conference on Research and Advanced Technology for Digital Libraries (ECDL 2005)
September 18-23, 2005 Vienna, Austria

I think some aspect of the OpenDocument DTD, either it's development or intended use, would be worth writing up and submitting to the ECDL 2005.  Relevant aspects include:

	- System Architectures, Integration and Interoperability
	- Information Organization, Search and Usage
	- Digital preservation

Among other things, this would give OpenDocument a boost as the conference will take place as the new school year begins.
