"default value" for attributes? (ODF pt 1, public review 1)

Dear all,

The spec contains many mentions of attributes that have a "default value".

This term is never defined (and since the schema now provides no defaulting, it is not at all obvious what it means).

The term should be defined, with others, in a "Terms & Definitions" section.

Sometimes the prose specifies that an attribute has a default value, yet the schema has the that attribute as mandatory with a fixed repertoire of values (for example the form:convert-empty-to-null attribute). This makes no sense since there is no opportunity for "defaulting".

The text/schema need to be re-worked so this is understandable.
