However, column headings may well contain text with unicode characters
that render the spreadsheet not processable.

I think only of the names of the 12 month, and I already find a problem
in many languages, e.g. in German (März). Are the LOOKUP-functions
affected as well? Than there is a big issue.

Not to mention that all European languages except for English abound in
special characters. This is also true of any other language on this planet.
