My thoughts were a little jumbled in the last message I sent to this
thread. I should have separated the two issues.
1) The wording of the paragraph could be improved.
2) The "readonly" thing
For (2), I don't really have a strong enough feeling, so let's go with
a "readonly" view mode and be done with it.
For (1), I'm going to think about the wording and see if I can come up
with some concrete examples of improving the wording.
