I have never heard of "sub chapter"s. I don't have the chicago manual of style handy, but I believe according to that books are divided into: parts, chapters, sections, subsections, etc. So clarifying that might avoid the normal way of reading the ODF standard (i.e. read the standard and then check what OOo is doing).
