Some but not all of the financial functions have parameters reported as part of their definitions.

Those parameters reflect different wordings for the same parameters. To illustrate, between 15.12.2 and 15.12.23 we find (not all cases reported):

15.12.2 settlement	The security's settlement date.

15.12.3 settlement	The security's maturity date.

15.12.8 settlement	The settlement date.

15.12.16 settlement	The settlement date of the security.

15.12.23 Settlement: the date of purchase of the security.

I suspect that 2, 8, 16 and 23 all have the same meaning but I would be hard pressed to swear to it. 

There are two aspects to this issue: 

1) The same parameters are repeated, often with slightly different wordings for the same meaning. 

2) The parameters are presented differently, compare 15.12.16 with 15.12.19 for example.
