Note that the current description of LINEST is incomplete. It gives no formulas for the  CONST=FALSE case and the given formulas for CONST=TRUE clearly do not apply to that case. 

Note also that OpenOffice clearly calculates nonsense for CONST=FALSE. For example it gives a standard error for the intercept even in that case. SInce the model forces the intercept to be zero it doesn't make any sense to have a standard error for it.
