Actually we should expand this to cover the sentence just before as well. The term "adjusted" is just a little vague.

Suggest for the sentence just before: "...the layout environment is expanded to contain the drawing shape."

For the sentence above, suggest: "...the layout environment is expanded to contain the drawing shape." 

Need to be said twice because in the first case there is a lack of a next layout environment. In the second, it seems that the drawing objects starts off larger than the layout environment.
