If we look at the attribute values, it gets clear that we are not talking about a single line, but a set of lines. This is something we certainly can correct. What a glue point is defined in 10.3.16. What is it you are missing?
Suggestion: In 19.231, replace
The draw:type attribute specifies a connecting line between two escape points.
with
The draw:type attribute specifies the line or series of lines that connect two glue points.
