Dennis: Your question regarding the use of the term "anchor" is interesting, but it goes beyond the comment that was originally made. I personally think that the term "anchor" works very well, because it is absolutely neutral in regard to the UI. I cannot imagine a term that fits better, except that we may say "source anchor" rather than just anchor.
