        Version 1.04 includes an approach for graceful degradation of existing consumers in the face of variability introduced beginning with ODF 1.2.  The Rationale is tightened and extended and deployment considerations are added.  The conformance requirements have been tightened with regard to consumers that do not support protection-key unlocking.

        Description

        v1.04 of a proposal to add two protection-key-digest-algorithm identifiers,

one for a salted SHA1 password hash, the other for a no-password-required

protection-key case.

The proposal is described in terms of changes to the front page and four
