Hello, new to the list

I just wanted to introduce myself (and use this as a test message).  I have a number of implementation questions from the customer/user perspective which I hope to be posting here soon.  This list appears somewhat quiet right now so I hope I have chosen the right place.

I was part of the workgroup which helped produce this report (and is still meeting):  "A Strategy for Openness:  Enhancing E-Records Access in New York State."  See:  http://www.oft.state.ny.us/Policy/ESRA/erecords-study.htm

Any comments or questions I post here will be geared towards me individually better understanding how app-developers' ODF implementation choices affect users.  I am particularly going to be interested in not only the app-development choices being made, but grokking which alternative choices were and are possible.
