Re JSR 155, guilty as charged. But we are about to get
permission to land in a friendly airport and so would be breaking the

It is worth noting, that there is a Java Specification Request (JSR) 155
in process which intends to define a standard Java API for using SAML.
The expert group has been in a holding pattern in recent months, but the
intention is to define both a spec and a reference implementation.
