DEFLATE Implementation in JAVA
Hi @ all,

I’m working on a prototypic implementation of a
SAML 2.0 SP. I’m using SYMLABS SLIM as IdP and I can’t get HTTP
Redirect Binding working and I figured out that I don’t apply the deflate
compression conform to RFC1951.

But the code I use to deflate seems correct to me. I
would appreciate any hints, what I might be doing wrong!

JAVA SOURCE:

import java.util.zip.DeflaterOutputStream;

import java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream;

…

ByteArrayOutputStream byteArrayOutputStream = new
ByteArrayOutputStream();

DeflaterOutputStream deflaterOutputStream = new
DeflaterOutputStream(byteArrayOutputStream);

deflaterOutputStream.write(saml_message_string.getBytes());

deflaterOutputStream.close();

String deflated = byteArrayOutputStream.toString(“UTF-8”);

Thanks!
