Martin, Mike,

I’m really glad to hear
that and confident that this step will enable an even wider adoption of SCA.

Philipp

Subject: SCA Assembly Issue 132 and 149

Mike, Philipp,

In re-considering the issues 132 (http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-132)
and 149 (http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/ASSEMBLY-149),
the SCA Assembly TC has decided that it makes sense to define a way to allow
non-OASIS developed languages to be able to claim to be SCA compliant. To this
end we have created two new deliverables:

1.
Implementation Type Document (http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/sca-assembly/download.php/38711/sca-assembly-1.1-impl-type-documentation-cd01.pdf)

2.
Test Suite Adaptation Document
(http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/sca-assembly/download.php/38713/sca-assembly-1.1-testsuite-adaptation-cd01.pdf)

At our meeting on 3rd August
2010 we agreed that the above two documents will go for a 60 day public review.
Until those reviews are complete there are no planned changes to the SCA
Assembly 1.1 specification. Changes to 1.1 may be considered after addressing
public review comments and, at the very least, SCA Assembly 1.2 will reference
these documents.

Once again we thank you for your comments,
and hope this provides a satisfactory resolution.

Regards,

   Martin Chapman and Mike
Edwards
