Re: [sca-assembly] NEW ISSUE: Can we include Policy Tests in Assembly TestSuite adaptation document?

TARGET: Test Suite Adaptation Document CD01 [1] DESCRIPTION: The SCA-Policy test suite was rebuilt in 2010 to re-use as much of the Assembly testsuite as possible in order to make any adaptation for policy tests as easy as it would be for Assembly tests. Upon completion of that work, the SCA-Policy test suite is free of any dependence on a specific component type implementation technology, EXCEPT for 3 Java classes that remain. These classes are related to tests for oneway invocation. The assembly spec never actually talks about oneway invocation but the policy spec does in the context of transaction policy. The SCA-Policy TC voted to ask the Assembly TC if the Assembly test suite adaptation document could be updated to include verbiage on adapting the Policy suite. The adaptation is very similar to what is already covered in the document. This would save the Policy TC some time by avoiding the need for it's own exceedingly brief test suite adaptation document. PROPOSAL: No specific proposal at this time. In general, the idea is to make small edits the test suite adaptation document to include the need to modify the policy test suite in addition to the Assembly suite for some tests. I did not want to waste time making edits in a specific proposal if the general idea of the proposal is not acceptable to the Assembly TC.
