Folks,
I believe that it is necessary and desirable
for the OASIS SVN repository to send email to the TC list
when artifacts are added or changed
in the repository. These artifacts are part of the work of the TC
and I think that it is important that
TC members are aware of additions and changes, just as much as
being aware of changes made to documents
in the OASIS document repository.
What I can suggest to folk who are committing
artifacts to the OASIS SVN repository is that the commit
is done as a block of artifacts rather
than one artifact at a time. This will reduce the number of emails
sent to the list.

That is how the OASIS SVN is set up. I don't think
there is anything
that can be done by the chairs regarding this. I suppose we can request
OASIS admin to not have the version control alerts go to the main TC
list. I'm not sure if this is a policy decision by the OASIS admin, but
the other SCA TCs also have the version control alerts going to their
main TC list.
