RE: A question on Profiles
Hi Kirk, I thought I had cleaned up the namespaces in my last submission, but it looks that I did not. I’ll get that corrected and upload the new version. Cheers, -Jason From: Wilson, Kirk D [mailto:] Sent: Friday, December 12, 2008 3:19 PM To: Brent Miller Cc: Subject: [sdd] A question on Profiles Quick question if I may on the current examples provided with the N10 Profile Revisit Proposal: Cim-profiles.xsd defines a namespace: http://docs.oasis-open.org/sdd/ns/cim-profile However, the SimpleAppClient.xml file specifies a canonical WS-CIM namespace for the CIM_Resources profile: http://schemas.dmtf.org/wbem/wscim/1.0.0/cim-schema/2.19.0/. I don’t understand this, because the cim-profiles.xsd has no similarity to the WS-CIM spec. For example, the CIM class names that cim-profiles.xsd defines as types are declared as elements in a WS-CIM conformant scheme. So there is a major mismatch between the namespaces. Should the namespace in the SimpleAppClient SDD xml correspond to the targetNamespace of cim-profiles.xsd? If not, I would appreciate an explanation of what is going on. Kirk Wilson, Ph.D. CA, Inc.
