faceted search

Rob's suggestion for supporting faceted search was along these lines:

Add the capability within the Scan operation to scan a result set: Add a
"query" parameter to scan. Either a "real" query, or a query that names a
result set. The facets would then be the terms in the scan response, but
only for the records that  match the query.

This is on the agenda (to be posted soon) for Monday.
