[security-services] Submission of WS-Security SAML Profile (revisited)
WSS TC Co-Chairs, I had previously submitted the WS-Security Profile of SAML to the WSS TC. At the first WSS F2F some questions were raised about the nature of the submission, as noted in the WSS F2F minutes: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/wss/200209/msg00039.html This note is an attempt to resolve these questions: (1) Who is making the submission? Answer: The authors of the draft are making the submission. The SSTC has voted to recommend this course of action to the editor and authors of this draft. The authors in turn have accepted this recommendation. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00018.html (2) What is the IPR status of the submission? Answer: Following OASIS rules, all submissions must follow the rules given in http://www.oasis-open.org/who/intellectualproperty.shtml (Section IPR.3.1). Each author of the submission has affirmed that they accept these rules in making this submission. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00019.html http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00020.html http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00021.html http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00022.html http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00023.html http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/security-services/200209/msg00025.html (3) The relevant document draft-sstc-ws-sec-profile-04.doc is attached to this message.
