Just a couple of quick comments:

1) I’d recommend that the metadata folder in the archive not be prefixed by the specification name. It should simple be "Metadata", either that or follow the Java and other archive examples: "META-INF".

2) I recommend that a digest value be standardized to allow the archive's integrity to be verified.  We used this effectively in the OGF Application Content Services (ACS) specification:  http://www.gridforum.org/documents/GFD.73.pdf
