ITU-T provides their standards available for free

with permanent URIs in six languages and is a

universal public body encompassing the entire world.

ISO/IEC is a private body whose specifications

are not readily available, in only one language,

and generally cost many hundreds if not thousands

      of dollars to obtain.

Seems like a no-brainer.

Hmm… my only thought is why would this be
forwarded to ITU when ISO/IEC JTC 1 and OASIS already have a
        formal method of fast-tracking a standard/PAS submissions?
