RE: [uddi-dev] support for WSDL 2 and UDDI 3
Thomi,

The normative UDDI V3 WSDL is based on WSDL 1.1 W3C
Note (+WS-I Basic Profile constraints), so WSDL 2 is not directly applicable to
the interfaces published on OASIS/uddi.org. You will notice that WSDL 2
documents use XML namespace "http://www.w3.org/2005/05/wsdl" instead
of "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/".

You should be able to use your development tools to
convert WSDL into the constructs native to your environment's programming
language and model as Andrew suggested.

Regards,

Daniel

Thomi,

For UDDI Version 3, you should be able to use WSDL
compilation tools to generate a model for a specific programming language.
There is a paper describing the considerations for doing this in Java at
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/uddi-spec/doc/tn/uddi-spec-tc-tn-jax-rpc-20050126.htm

I believe a similar approach will work with
the .Net tools if you import or process the WSDL for UDDI V3 (you can probably
search MSDN for instructions on this).

As for WSDL 2, I would imagine most tooling releases will follow the w3c
approval/recommendation of the specification.

Clayton,

Thank you for your reply. I have one more question.
Do you know if the
libraries from SYSTINET could be used for
publishing/searching in the
registry from a .NET client?

Thank you in
advance,
Thomi

To my knowledge, the latest libraries from Systinet support UDDI
v3
spec.
I'm not sure about WSDL 2.

support for WSDL 2 and UDDI 3

Hello everybody,

I would like to ask
if there are any development tools such as Java Web
Services Developer Pack
supporting WSDL 2 and UDDI version 3.

Thank you in
advance,
Thomi
