Dear Jean, all,
Thanks already, although the DTD at the end of the
document is still the old (3.2?) version of UIML. I first
have to extract the 4.0 DTD from the contents of
the specification. I will notify you, when this is ready that
you can run this through your tool once
again.
Thanks,
Robbie.

Dear All, dear Robbie,
Please find enclosed the metamodel in the IBM Software
Modeler environment as a class diagram. The PDF file contains the image. This
has been done according to the final DTD found at the end of the UIML
document.
All the best,
Jean

Hi all,
I seem to remember that the Generation of the
UIML4.0 DTD was assigned to me some time ago. So I will
try to do it this week and will notify you if I
stumble over any inconsistency. BTW.: Does somebody know
a good (and free) tool for schema generation
out of a DTD? Also tools for creating a meta model would be
welcome.
Thanks,
Robbie.

Hello all,
Attached is the updated version of the UIML
specification. I have cleaned up as many of the examples,
comments, and formatting issues that I can. There are still a
couple of comments present, but they are things I think should be
considered by the TC as we review. As we move forward, please track
your changes using MS Word's change tracking feature, so that I'll have a
bit easier time merging later on :)
Things still left to do: Generate the UIML
4.0 DTD/Schema and update to the newest OASIS format
template.
If possible please review this document by
Friday, August 3, 2007.
Thank you!

This is great news! Congratulations to everyone for
your hard work. Hopefully once you have the internal review finished
you'll submit the work for member review. Let me know if I can be of help
in any way!

Subject: [uiml] Tentative Schedule for Completing
the Working Draft
Hello
all,
Robbie and I
had a excellent discussion last week and would like to propose the
following schedule for completing the UIML 4.0 working
specification:
July 20: Jim
finishes cleaning up the specification and cleans up remaining
issues.
July 21 to
August 3: Committee review to finalize and remaining issues. We
would especially like for Jean and Heinz-Josef to review the
specification in its entirety (if possible). I think their fresh
perspectives would be extremely helpful in finalizing the
revision.
August 4 to
August 17: Final revisions based on internal review.
At this
point we should have completed and polished version of the
specification.
Feedback is
welcome!
