The use case catalog and steps are described as an approach and guide in the slides that have been presented.

I would propose we indicate that we have a GUIDELINE that provides procedures.

Guideline: (1) a rule or principle that provides guidance to appropriate behavior or (2) a guidance relative to setting standards or determining a course of action.

Other synonyms to guideline include: procedure, rule, or approach.

Procedure:
A process or series of acts especially of a practical or mechanical nature involved in a particular form of work.
