RE: [wsdm] [Omod] Input for issues 3 and 4 for today's call
Title: Message Brian, ISSUE 3 was about aggregation of information not aggregation of interfaces. We're not talking about interfaces yet. Aggregation was in a sense that in a server farm, for example, there could be several implementation instances running that support one endpoint (one URL, to make it simpler). The text has to reflect that whomever provides manageability of an enpoint at that URL has to aggregate manageability information properly from all the implementation instances. -- Igor Sedukhin .. Sorry, but I have not yet found the time to provide input to ISSUE 5, but intend to do so within a day or so. ISSUE 3: aggregation of manageability to the endpoint level is a responsibility of the provider of manageability (need text for the concepts section) This is clear, but needs an action item on someone to provide the text. See attached: WSDM-OMod-Test describing manageability aggregation_BRC.doc ISSUE 4 (by BrianC): concepts of versioning have to be applied to the MOWS Concepts diagram Igor: yes, but may be as details of the concepts diagram: pick elements that are necessary to express the versioning/revision concepts and draw a diagram complimentary to the main diagram ACTION: BrianC to provide a versioning concepts diagram. See attached: WSDM-OMod-Need for Versioning_BRC.doc ISSUE 5: using http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/wsdm/200310/msg00067.html UML approach ACTION: BrianC to attempt to express ManageableEndpointState UML information model linked directly to the web service endpoint state diagrams designed by the W3C Arch MTF.
