[wss] TC for Policy in support of WSS and other activities

Last week, members of the WSS TC indicated their support for the 
creation of a TC to discuss Policy and its relationship to WSS and other 
activities. Underlying the discussion and "decision" was an assumption 
that the TC charter and initial submissions would be determined in
an open manner.

Sun is encouraged by this outcome, and offers to host or participate in 
a meeting, open to all interested parties, that will define a 
proposed charter for an OASIS Technical Committee. This TC will be
responsible for reconciling the policy related requirements of the WSS 
with related or similar requirements from other industry activities.

We are offering to host such a meeting at our Burlington, MA. campus, 
and propose that the meeting occur on Wednesday Feb 12, 2003.
We are flexible about the date, and encourage you to share this
invitation with interested parties who happen not to be members
of the WSS TC.
