Not based on fees for charges for use of standards, but copyright and
argument that use of said standard might be harmful to businesses that
trusted the information: that is, incorporation of European Committee of
Banking Services standards into a web calculator.

Apparently Bank of Ireland should, in its view, be able to provide
international banking codes, but not a private individual. Intriguing
issues of network trust, accountability and so on.

The press release says:
  ISO does not subsequently charge a fee for use of the codes in the
software product and has no
  plans for doing so.
