  yes, this may be fixed in the version 1.0.19 released Monday I don't
know if the Windows binaries have been updated yet (link from
http://xmlsoft.org/) 
  This seems to only occur with the latest version of the XSLT stylesheets
rolling back to version prior to 1.51-1 seems to avoid the problem.
  BTW, DocBook-Apps is not the proper channel to report xsltproc bugs:
    http://xmlsoft.org/XSLT/bugs.html
