The list ignored the original question pretty thoroughly,
so I take it this is the only game in town.

Well, the tarball I just fetched doesn't. It seems to
require manual install in system directories for its
perl stuff, and the (working) DocBook install that I
have isn't good enough for
cd docbook2X/doc
make
As I'm currently stuck with a RedHat system the Debian
package I saw mentioned won't help. The stuff seems to
come with zero docs about installing this tool? I can
blunder away, but it is hardly encouraging. Right now,
I get:
Can't locate XML/DOM.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.00503
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i386-linux
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005 .)
at ./db2texi line 54.
There is no DOM.pm in the tarball. I copied SGMLSpl.pm
as DOM.pm, now I get "Bareword.." perl errors (with
perl 5.005_03). Is this stuff really working for you?
Has anybody using DocBook and the RedHat/Gnome additions
gotten this to work? Any recommendations? Alternatives?
