Title page layout problem

My company has a title page layout to which they expect any
documentation language to adhere.  I want to introduce DocBook as an
acceptable documentation language at this company.  Their required
layout looks something like this:

<logo>                                                   Title
                                                      Subtitle
--------------------------------------------------------------
Subgroup name                                  Document number
Group name                                      Version number
                                               Author initials
--------------------------------------------------------------

How does one do alignment tricks like this in a stylesheet?
