Regarding Specification: EDXL-DE v 1.0
A meeting was held on October 3, 2005 between the National Wildfire
Coordinating Group (NWCG - represented by Jon Skeels) and representatives
of the DHS Disaster Management eGov initiative and the OASIS Emergency
Management Technical Committee. The NWCG has reviewed the EDXL
Distribution Element during this public comment period. The purpose of
the meeting was to address NWCG comments and questions, and to facilitate
submission of their formal comments back to OASIS.
The following formal comments regarding the EDXL Distribution Element are
submitted on behalf of the NWCG.
"The EDXL Distribution Element must contain explicit (optional) elements
identifying a declared incident. At a minumum the following elements
must be added. These elements are considered to be essential for standard
adoption and for a "Yes" vote by the NWCG.
1- Incident identifier
2- Incident Description"
Regards,
Jon Skeels
