I think I agree in principle. I can envision making such money available in the form of a grant from LegalXML for scholarship and outstanding government service using LegalXML. I propose that we begin by finding out if a delegate from the steering committee to the TC workshop would be welcome, assuming LegalXML and not the TC were responsible for the costs of the delegate. The delegate might give out appropriately worded certificates to the recipients as awards of achievements. He or she could appear at a small LegalXML ceremony to award them at an appropriate time.

We could issue a press release. That might get some of the appropriate PR we are trying to evaluate right now.

The Integrated Justice TC has scheduled a workshop in Denver the week of June 21 to jumpstart the development of GJXDM reference documents for courts. We hope to have additional workshops for law enforcement and corrections. According to Catherine Plummer , there are some potential participants from public sector agencies that do not have funding for this. She estimates costs at ~$1,000 per person for up to 6 people. I am requesting that the Steering Committee help fund their participation. We are also exploring funding from SEARCH and NCSC.

BTW, when is our next Steering Committee meeting?
