I think it is good to find out what happened for the voter who wasn't successful in casting a ballot -- Lyndon Johnson said your vote is property, and that's true. I trust that the matter will be investigated so we may know whether the cause was computer error, an enrollment problem, human error, or some dark force. The election process has been distressing to me, particularly the rhetoric about it, which has seemed to me out of proportion. It is not worth it to me to voice further concern, for my time is also property and I want to spend it well. This was, after all, a small election with an outcome that is clear and apparently fair. I will not seek the role of an officer on the Steering Committee this year. I want to focus on why I am here - representing the TC that selected me.
