In this context, the eNotary TC has indicated that it intends to use the $15,000 allocated to it by the SC for 2007 in conjunction with a new budgetary request for 2008 in the amount of $35,000 for consultant package for 2007-8 in the total amount of $50,000. A formal request is anticipated to be presented prior to or at the meeting for approval of these terms. 4. Rolly Chamber's statement to the board-process list serve re: Proposed revisions to MS Policy Concerning Subcommittees "The Oasis LegalXML Member Section and Steering Committee have typically published minutes and documents for viewing only by SC members. The reasoning was to avoid information overload for everyone else. The LegalXML SC has not formed subcommittees. If it were to do so, the expectation would be for the subcommittee to follow the same practice as the Steering Committee (i.e. minutes and documents viewable by any SC members). Notwithstanding this background, I seriously doubt that the LegalXML SC would have any objection to making minutes, emails, or other documents viewable by any Oasis member who cares to read them. In that regard, the original wording is acceptable and so is any variation that achieves the same result. If the question is whether Steering Committee (and SC subcommittee) minutes, emails, documents, etc. should be viewable by the general public outside Oasis members, I would want the LegalXML SC to discuss such an approach. One concern would be that opening all the SC's minutes and documents to the general public could dilute the benefit of being a member of Oasis and the LegalXML Member Section." 5. Old business 6.
