Cathie, Scott, Dee: The LegalXML SC met this morning and one thing we’re not clear on – what’s the timing for the 2015 draft budget? Both Monica and I recall going through the budgeting process earlier in the fall. Right now we have Dec 15 as our next SC meeting and we’re hoping that we can get an updated budget for 2014 plus the expected income for 2015 so we can put some draft budget line items against it. Also, we received two requests on which we’d like guidance for staying within OASIS bylaws: · A request to sponsor a small prize ($300?) at the JURIX conference in December for best doctoral paper; the papers are related to LegalRuleML and Monica indicated that this is a good opportunity for promoting LegalRuleML and LegalXML. · RuleML has asked for either a waiver of OASIS membership fee or sponsorship from LegalXML to offset the costs.
