In preparation for the April face to face meeting, here is an update on the enhancements originally proposed in https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/mqtt/download.php/57354/MQTT-276%20Considerations.pdf with pending proposals in related issues.

•	Option to use QoS 1 instead of QoS 2 message exchange
•	Option to not support retained messages

Addressed by CONNECT and CONNACK metadata proposal in MQTT-256:
