ODF and XForms Sample
Hi Oliver,
This looks great.
I realize this is a very short demo, but maybe you could also make these
points as you introduce the demo:
- XForms is a W3C standard for defining electronic forms
- ODF specifies how XForms can be used inside of an ODF document
In other words, this demo is not just a special OpenOffice capability. It
is a capability defined by the ODF and XForms specification.
Also, maybe mention that you are saving to a local XML file for the demo,
but in the real-world you ODF would also allow you to POST the form to a
server for processing.
This reminds me: I can prepare a slide listing all of the standards that
ODF references. I think we can use that to introduce this segment
(XForms, RDFa, MathML) of the session.
