Ed. Note So far as I can tell, we assume but never define the list of indexes. Granted that we can say an index exists for some series but for interoperability we should say the order in which the index numbers are assigned, etc. How they should be addressed, space delimited integers? (we say that in some places for some list of indexes), etc.
