Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Created: (OFFICE-2330) ISNONTEXT semanticsare contradictory
ISNONTEXT semantics are contradictory
-------------------------------------
Key: OFFICE-2330
URL: http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2330
Project: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) TC
Issue Type: Bug
Components: OpenFormula
Affects Versions: ODF 1.2 Part 2 CD 1
Reporter: Patrick Durusau
The semantics description of ISNONTEXT reads:
"f X is of type Text, returns TRUE, else FALSE. If X is a reference, examines what X references. References to blank cells are NOT considered text, so a reference to a blank cell will return TRUE."
Shouldn't a reference to a blank cell return FALSE? Since it is not text?
Or is the first part incorrect?
I don't know if this is describing actual application behavior so hesitate to simply change it.
