i think your proposal is neither better nor worse than the current text.
(except for "A GRDDL algorithms", which should lose the "s")

but i have another objection:
i don't like the use of the word "algorithm" here.
an algorithm is something abstract, but what is linked here is a concrete, runnable program.

maybe "transformation program" would be better?
i propose to replace "algorithm(s)" with that.

well, if the file doesn't contain anything from which RDF triples could be generated, then putting in a grddl:transformation attribute is rather pointless.
