I agree removing all mention would be good.

However the MIME type is tied to OASIS and the registration appeals to the OASIS ODF 1.0 Specification for its definition, here:
<http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text-web>.

I would say the registration was premature.  Perhaps we should rescind it?  No one can steal it.  (The file extension information is informative, not prescriptive, in the MIME type registration.)
