There are several shortcomings in the current specification, for example
- no algorithm is given for luminance, contrast and gamma
- there is no rule for the order of the filters and how the filters interact
- the affected objects are unnecessary restricted to raster graphic
- the data types are unclear
- wording is not consistent
- affect on background is not mentioned
