Yes, I am using pretty printing.

When I compare the Part 3 Schema document saved from LO 6.3.6 and LO 6.4.5 on Windows, styles.xml has only 73 differences and they are all either font names or a single LO extension that is added by LO 6.4.5.

There are slightly more than 1600 differences in content.xml. These all appear to be of the following types:
 * font name differences in style override definitions
 * a very small number of LO extensions
 * different IDs generated on lists (these are presumably session-specific - these constitute the majority of the differences)
 * different IDs generated on alphabetical index marks (again presumably session-specific - there are relatively few of these, perhaps indicating that alphabetical index marks should be removed entirely)
 * re-ordering of reference mark starts and ends in headings.

I am tempted to conclude that the differences between LO 6.3.6 and LO 6.4.5 are not significant. Another conclusion might be that LO extensions don't seem to be a big issue, although eliminating them entirely by saving as ODF 1.2 strict might still be worthwhile. However, I should perhaps perform a similar comparison on Part 4 Formula to be sure.
