RE: [pkcs11] Groups - Ballots opened: 6

Hi – I forgot to include the attendance list when I sent out the email below. Sorry about that! Regards, Bob From: Griffin, Robert Sent: Mittwoch, 17. Juli 2013 14:13 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [pkcs11] Groups - Ballots opened: 6 Hi – I just created 6 of the 7 ballots for which motions were made during our 10-July PKCS 11 TC call. - RSA AES Secure Key Import (Doron) - CKA_CERTIFICATE_CATEGORY and CKA_JAVA_MIDP_SECURITY_DOMAIN constants (Stef) - CK_UNAVAILABLE_INFORMATION (Stef) - CKA_DESTROYABLE (Stef) - Revised AES mechanism (Bob R) - Revised DSA mechanism (Bob R) These are all Simple Majority ballots (that is, each ballot passes/fails based on a majority of those who vote on that ballot, rather than requiring a majority of all members who are eligible to vote). Given that many people are taking vacations around this time, I created them as 21-day ballots, ending just before our PKCS 11 TC concall on 7-August, to ensure that everyone has adequate time to consider and vote on the ballots. Please let me know if you see any errors/issues in the ballots as created, compared to the motions that were passed! Also, please let me know if you believe you should be able to vote on these ballots and are not allowed to; I’ve attached the meeting attendance report I used in updating voting privileges. Although we also voted in our 10-July call to initiate a ballot on the ECC Secure Key import proposal, Doron suggested in an email to Valerie and me subsequent to last week’s call that it would be better to have the options in that ballot be not just yes/no/abstain, but the yes/defer/reject/abstain options we’ve used in one of our earlier ballots. Unfortunately such a change requires a vote by the TC. So we agreed to defer creating the ECC Secure Key Import ballot until after our call next week (24-July), when the TC can vote whether or not to change the options for that ballot.
