Whatever the case is wrt the doctypes, you would still have only one root (duh!) so you would also have only one Head; I can't see how you would have two and why you'd need to differentiate them. Unless the semantics and composition of the Head for an Order is radically different from the semantics and composition of the Head for an OrderResponse. I hope not, because then you're not dealing with a Head but a doctype dependent something or other. I think you may be thinking of your experience with somewhat difference circumstances.
