Les, this is NOT spam, this is a progress report. (And a great reason to remind everyone that after XRD 1.0 comes XRI 3.0 since that's what we've been depending on for a long time.)

Congrats, Les, this looks really cool. On next week's telecon, would you be able to do a short overview for us on what you built and lessons learned?

One of the reasons I have been lax in my attendance at out TC meetings is that I have been working on making [1] happen.� Neustar has launched a Mobile Barcode Clearinghouse that enables interoperable services between multiple participants such as brands, campaign managers, carriers and service providers.� While barcodes have been around for awhile they have mostly been direct URL�s to some webpage.� We are employing an indirect model where behavior is more dynamic.� For more info please see [2]

The most important part of this is that the code under the 2d image is an i-name.� XRI is the core infrastructure to make this happen.� Every barcode is an XRI with an i-name, i-number and XRDS.
