Thanks, everyone, for an very interesting session today.

Present: Don Day, Amber Swope, Scott Prentice, Deb Boczulak

Discussion: 
1) France's article has gotten over 400 reads but very few responses to
the poll. Perhaps should stop doing polls.
2) Ideas for the next article (May?)Amber is interested in a piece on
indexing. Sounds good to everyone and generated lots of discussion.
JoAnn will send the Translation subcommittee BP on Indexing, everyone
will assist Amber with the topic.

Also discussed ideas about DITA and Help systems. Perhaps Scott would be
interested in tackling this one. 

3)Spent considerable energy on the topic of XSL-FO and the impediment it
presents to DITA adoption. Too difficult to get output for print/PDF for
many writers, especially small departments. Too expensive and difficult
to maintain. Consider the possibility of sponsoring a user interface to
FO to support the Open Toolkit. Don has some ideas for how this might be
done with many contributors to the effort. JoAnn will find and send the
TOC for the original book she wrote on the IBM Named Styles, the
precursor to FO.

Amber will have a draft ready for the next committee meeting on May 10.
