Re: [dita-fa-edboard] Created some wiki links to remove red from the Wiki.

Hi Amber,

One thing I did not make into web pages is your DMM Reference table.

First, there was not a red link naming the page.

Second, I am not sure whether I can make a table in the Drupal Wiki.

The illustrations had to be narrowed to 570 pixels for the standard Drupal column width, and your Reference table already looks very tight at about 650 pixels.

Any thoughts?

Bob

Hi there,

As one of the co-authors of the DMM, I can answer some of the questions:

-Did the authors grant their approval for us to post this to the wiki?

Scott Abel and Yvonne Bailey had already created pages for the DMM on
the site in the DITA Wiki Knowledgebases. As long as we aren't adding
duplicate information, Michael and I are happy to have the DMM posted
here.

-Do the authors want to enable others to directly edit the text (wiki)
or would
they prefer to only allow people to append comments?

The Building the DMM Community page
(http://dita.xml.org/wiki/building-the-dita-maturity-model-community)
includes some info about what we'd like folks to do with the DMM. We
would prefer that folks append comments and post case studies or
documents that illustrate their use of the DMM.

-If they don't want allow direct edits, let me know, and I'll try to
adjust the
permissions.

Given that this is a published whitepaper with my name on it, I would
prefer that folks not be able to directly edit the content.

Thanks, A

Thanks to Bob for all this work. The pages look beautiful.

A few basic questions:

-Did the authors grant their approval for us to post this to the wiki?

-Do the authors want to enable others to directly edit the text (wiki)
or would
they prefer to only allow people to append comments?

-If they don't want allow direct edits, let me know, and I'll try to
adjust the
permissions.

-How do we want to allow people to navigate the document--go from page
to page?
This seems like where the Drupal book page concept would work well, no?

Hi all,

I created first draft pages for the DITA Maturity Model.

I hope Michael or Amber will look them over for typos.

http://dita.xml.org/wiki/introduction-to-the-maturity-model
http://dita.xml.org/wiki/level-two-scaleable-reuse
http://dita.xml.org/wiki/level-three-specialization-and-customization
http://dita.xml.org/wiki/level-four-automation-and-integration
http://dita.xml.org/wiki/level-five-semantics-on-demand
http://dita.xml.org/wiki/level-six-universal-semantic-ecosystem

I resized the graphics to fit into the Drupal column width, and HTML'd
the text
from the PDF.

Cheers,

Bob
